Job description

Are you looking to expand your skills and enhance your career to include providing Complex Clinical Care or do you already have Complex Care experience?

Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to support a young lady with complex care needs.

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.

Our service user lives with her family in Burton-upon-Trent and requires a care team to support her throughout the day & night.

She enjoys lots of interaction with her care team and likes reading books and engaging sensory based activities.

Watching films, TV and listening to music is another of interests; Bollywood and Disney are her favourites!

She likes going to the cinema and library and also enjoys visiting the local park with the assistance of her care team.

Our service user is unable to communicate verbally and will use facial expressions and noises to display her emotion. She will smile when she is happy and frown or cry when she is unhappy or experiencing discomfort.

She will try her best to aid communication, for example blinking in response to a question.

It is important that you can understand and interpret her wants and needs to avoid her becoming distressed or frustrated.
