Job description

Are you looking to expand your skills and enhance your career to include providing Complex Clinical Care or do you already have Complex Care experience?

Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking experienced Support Worker to support a young boy with complex care needs.

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Support Worker who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.

Our service user lives with his family in Billericay and requires 2:1 care on a part time basis.

He is a very content child who enjoys sensory activities, listening to music and having stories read to him. His favourites are The Gruffalo and The Tiger who came for Tea!

He is registered blind and unable to communicate verbally, indicating his mood using sounds. It is important that his care team can interpret his method of communication to effectively understand his wants and needs.

You will support with personal care, medication, seizure management and carry out all his transfers on a 2:1 basis.

There may also be occasions where you will accompany and support him within his educational setting.

Essential Experience Required

  • 3 months previous care experience
  • Personal Care
  • Moving and Handling
  • Medication Administration

Desirable Experience

  • Epilepsy Care
  • Seizure Management & Rescue Medication
  • Oral Suction

We have the following shifts available;

  • Part Time Days
  • Wednesday - 9am - 5pm
  • Friday - 9am - 3pm
