We have recently gained a new package of care bringing many fresh and exciting opportunities to join our new team in Gateshead.
We are looking for compassionate and committed Healthcare assistants in Gateshead, who are passionate about delivering the highest quality two-to-one care for our service user, building positive relationships with them and their family while enabling them to live as independently as possible in their family home.
Meet our service user
Our service user is a sociable young boy in his teens who lives with Mum in Gateshead, he requires support on a 2:1 basis throughout the day with his complex and clinical care needs.
He loves spending quality time with his family and care team and enjoys the interaction with others.
Throughout the day your role will be to support at home and accompanying him to educational setting.
Your role will include providing care with his morning routine getting him ready for the day, carrying out daily tasks such as washing, dressing, moving, and handling requirements and attending to his clinical care needs when required. You will accompany him to his educational setting where you will support his daily routine and attend to his needs when required.
Throughout the day you will be required to make close observations, support with social interaction, and offer reassurance and comfort when needed.
It is essential for our care team to have complex care experience working with Children for this position
We believe in providing not just care but also companionship, our ideal candidates will have the qualities of being both cheerful and confident to make a real difference to his life, with the empower to handle a variety of caregiving tasks with confidence and poise.
A driving licence is essential for this role to be able to drive our service users adapted vehicle.
Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.

Take a look at our payrates
Weekdays: £13.00 per hour (Approx.£117.00 per 9-hour shift)
Weeknights: £13.50 per hour (Approx.£162 per 12-hour shift)
Weekends: £14.00 per hour (Approx.£168.00 per 12-hour shift)
Bank Holidays: £16.00 per hour (Approx. £192.00 per 12-hour shift)
