Are you a patient, committed and engaging individual looking to make a positive impact on the lives of others?
Do you want to develop your skills and enhance your career to include providing Complex Clinical Care or do you already have Complex Care experience?
We are growing our team in Preston and are seeking dedicated Healthcare Assistants to provide specialist, person centred care to our service users, within their own homes.
Meet our service user
Our service user is a sociable young male who lives with his family in Preston.
During the week he attends school, and we are looking for bubbly and interactive individuals to provide specialist 2:1 care for him at home.
Fun and playtime are a key part of this role and so we’re looking for someone with a good sense of humour who is happy to engage in the things he enjoys. This could be playing games such as hide and seek, dancing along to his favourite music and listening to his favourite shows, such as Mr Tumble and Peppa Pig!
He is dependent on the support of his care team for all his transfers and moving and handling requirements and in addition to this, you will meet all aspects of his day-to-day care needs, deliver his clinical interventions and carry out regular observations, always remaining vigilant.
This young gentleman is registered blind and unable to communicate verbally and to avoid him becoming distressed or frustrated, it is key that you spend time to get to know the unique signals and cues he uses to make his needs known, such as facial expressions and sounds.
It is important for our service user to be familiar with the people around him and therefore, we’re looking for patient and dedicated individuals who can commit to his care on a long-term, ongoing basis.
This rewarding part-time role offers around 15 hours per week throughout the day shifts and 24 hours per week throughout the night, with the option to pick up additional hours during school holidays and weekends.

We believe in creating a warm and inclusive environment where our young service user can thrive, and we're seeking a care team who shares our vision.
