• Healthcare Assistant
• Location: Gateshead, NE10
• Pay Rate: £15.00 - £17.50 Per hour
• Shifts: Part Time | Days | 8am-8pm

The Role

We are looking for kind, compassionate, and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to support a bright and engaging young girl within her home and community.

She has a curious and playful personality and enjoys:

• Story time
• Sensory lights and sensory play
• Arts and crafts
• Trips to the beach in her buggy
• Walks in the park
• Hydrotherapy sessions

She also enjoys attending her educational setting, where she benefits from social interaction and a structured, stimulating environment.

In this role, you will support her throughout the day with daily routines, educational attendance, and community outings, while providing full assistance with all aspects of her care, including mobility, nutrition, and clinical interventions.

We are seeking a caring, attentive, and confident individual with experience supporting children with complex needs. You will help create a safe, nurturing environment where she feels happy, comfortable, and fully supported every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality, person-centred care
• Supporting with personal care respectfully and with dignity
• Administering medication as required
• Assisting with Moving & Handling
• Supporting daily routines, education, and community access
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Monitoring wellbeing and responding to care needs
• Supporting with nutrition and clinical interventions (as required)

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 3 months’ care experience
• Confident with medication, personal care, and Moving & Handling
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Experience working with children in a healthcare setting is essential
