Meet Our Client

We are looking for compassionate, patient, and engaging Support Workers to provide dedicated 1:1 care for a bright and lovable 9-year-old boy within his family home.

He is non-verbal and communicates using a Smartbox. He enjoys music, games, YouTube, sensory activities, and spending time on his iPad. He loves interaction and thrives on meaningful engagement, so we are looking for someone fun, attentive, and able to build a positive relationship with both him and his family.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference while supporting a child with complex care needs in a safe, nurturing, and family-centred environment.

What the Role Involves

As part of his care team, you will support him with: • Personal care and daily routines • PEG feeding and medication administration • Seizure monitoring and management • Passive exercises and mobility support • Sensory play and interactive activities • Music therapy and hydrotherapy sessions • Encouraging communication, play, and engagement • Promoting comfort, safety, and overall wellbeing at all times

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking caring individuals who are: • Experienced in a support worker or care role • Confident supporting complex care needs • Calm, patient, and understanding • Engaging, positive, and proactive • Comfortable working within a family home environment • Able to build trusting relationships with both the client and family • Confident supporting routines, sensory activities, and meaningful interaction • Strong communicators with a good sense of humour

What you’ll need

• Minimum 3 months’ care experience • Previous experience as a Support Worker or Healthcare Assistant • Confidence with medication administration, personal care, and moving & handling • Clear communication skills
