Meet Our Client

We are looking for caring and reliable Healthcare Assistants to support a gentleman in his late 50s who lives at home with his wife.

The role involves providing high-quality, person-centred care, supporting him to maintain his independence and continue enjoying an active lifestyle within the community.

The gentleman enjoys attending social, exercise, and support groups locally, and has a range of interests including poetry, painting, card games, and board games.

You will support him to access these activities and encourage continued engagement in his hobbies and interests.

During night shifts, responsibilities will include providing personal care, administering medication, and delivering catheter care as required, as well as supporting safe moving and handling.

The role will also involve monitoring throughout the night to ensure safety and wellbeing, responding appropriately to any needs, and promoting a calm, comfortable environment to support restful sleep.

What You’ll Need

• A minimum of 3 months’ care experience
• Confidence in administering medication, providing personal care, and supporting with moving and handling
• A full UK driving licence held for at least 3 years, with confidence driving an adapted manual vehicle
• A pet-friendly attitude, as the family also assists in caring for a neighbour’s dog
• Strong and clear communication skills
