About This Role

We are seeking caring, compassionate, and engaging Healthcare Assistants to provide support for a friendly gentleman in his 40s who lives in his family home in Birmingham.

Building a trusting and positive relationship with our client is an important part of the role. His care team will be encouraged to spend time getting to know him, engaging with him in conversations and interests he enjoys, and support him to take part in the activities that are important to him.

He enjoys leading an active and fulfilling life and particularly loves spending time at his day centre, where he takes part in activities such as cooking, painting, bingo, and the weekly disco. He enjoys being involved, having fun, and spending time with others. His care team will play an important role in encouraging his interests, promoting his independence, and helping him make the most of each day.

Throughout the day, you will provide person-centred support with his personal care, medication administration, moving and handling, and clinical care needs. You will also support him at home, at his day centre, and when accessing the local community, helping him to enjoy meaningful activities and make the most of the opportunities around him.

Clinical Experience

Previous experience supporting adults with complex healthcare needs is desirable.

Where required, specialist clinical training will be provided by our highly skilled, in house nursing team.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

• Have a minimum of 3 months' paid experience working in a professional care setting within the UK.
• Have the right to work in the UK*
• Be committed to delivering safe, compassionate and person-centred care.
• Be willing to complete client-specific, clinical training where required.

We do not hold a sponsorship licence and are therefore unable to consider applicants requiring sponsorship.
