About This Role

We’re looking for caring, compassionate and confident care professionals to provide person-centred support to an individual with complex care needs within a family home. This is a rewarding role where patience, kindness and consistency are important, alongside the ability to work confidently and independently.

The role involves supporting with all aspects of personal care and daily living, including personal care, mobility, transfers and moving and handling, medication and nutritional support. You’ll also provide support with managing epilepsy, respiratory needs and other aspects of the individual’s care plan, with appropriate training and guidance provided.

Building a positive relationship and encouraging communication and social engagement is a key part of the role. The individual enjoys arts and crafts, making cards and gifts, woodwork, baking and preparing meals, so someone who is friendly, encouraging and happy to get involved in these activities would be a great fit.

As the support takes place within a family home, it’s important to understand the dynamics of working alongside family members and to maintain clear, respectful and professional boundaries. We’re looking for calm, kind, patient and reliable individuals who are keen to make a positive difference while promoting independence, choice and quality of life.

Clinical Experience

Previous experience supporting adults with complex healthcare needs is desirable.

Where required, specialist clinical training will be provided by our highly skilled, in house nursing team.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

• Have a minimum of 3 months' paid experience working in a professional care setting within the UK.
• Have the right to work in the UK*
• Be committed to delivering safe, compassionate and person-centred care.
• Be willing to complete client-specific, clinical training where required.
• Must have a valid UK driving licence (day shift only)
