About This Role

We are looking for compassionate, and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistants to join our dedicated care team supporting 7-year-old twin girls with highly complex care needs in the Wakefield area. This is a 2:1 role, working alongside a Registered Nurse, to ensure safe, high-quality, and specialist care.

In this rewarding position, you will help the girls engage in a variety of stimulating activities, including story time, interactive reading, drawing, sensory play, and other development-focused tasks. Creating a calm, nurturing, and encouraging environment will be central to your day-to-day work.

You will provide specialised care, assisting with personal care, medication administration, and a range of clinical interventions required as part of their complex care package.

The role also includes accompanying the girls on community outings, including trips to the library and weekend day excursions, helping to promote their social interaction, enjoyment, and engagement with the world around them.

Clinical Experience

Previous experience supporting children with complex healthcare needs is desirable.

Where required, specialist clinical training will be provided by our highly skilled, in-house nursing team.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

• Have a minimum of 3 months' paid experience working in a professional care setting within the UK.
• Have the right to work in the UK*
• Be committed to delivering safe, compassionate and child-centred care.
• Be willing to complete client-specific, clinical training where required.
• Be comfortable working in a home environment where there is a family pet dog.
