About This Role

We are seeking a caring and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to support a 12-year-old boy in his own home. The role will involve providing high-quality, person-centred care while supporting his wellbeing, communication and engagement throughout the day.

He enjoys social interaction and loves having people talk to him and spend time engaging with him. His favourite activities include watching cartoons on his iPad, listening to music, enjoying his sensory lights, looking out of the window and watching people, and spending time outside when the weather allows.

He has his own unique way of communicating through facial expressions and noises, so the successful HCA will need to be patient, observant and willing to learn and understand his individual communication style.

We are looking for someone who is warm, compassionate and confident in providing care to children, with a genuine interest in building a positive relationship with the service user and supporting him to enjoy his daily routines and preferred activities within the comfort of his home.

Clinical Experience

Previous experience supporting adults with complex healthcare needs is desirable.

Where required, specialist clinical training will be provided by our highly skilled, in house nursing team.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

• Have a minimum of 3 months' paid experience working in a professional care setting within the UK.
• Have the right to work in the UK*
• Be committed to delivering safe, compassionate and person-centred care.
• Be willing to complete client-specific, clinical training where required.

We do not hold a sponsorship licence and are therefore unable to consider applicants requiring sponsorship.
