“I was very sceptical about leaving my old job but I’m so I glad I took the leap and applied for my position at Apollo. Best thing I ever did, I get to spend more time with my children and watch them grow. Everyone is so friendly and easy to approach if you have a problem.” – Current HCA
About This Role
We are looking for dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistants to support a lovely gentleman in his 20s with complex care needs. Support is provided on a 2:1 basis across two homes.
He is a happy, relaxed, and sociable young man who enjoys interacting with others and benefits from positive, reassuring companionship. He attends college, which he thoroughly enjoys, and loves taking part in a variety of activities both at home and in the community.
His interests include sensory activities, exploring lights and toys, watching television, listening to music, spending time outdoors, going on trips in the van, swimming, and visiting brightly lit shops. He would benefit from a friendly, patient, and engaging Healthcare Assistant who can support his interests, encourage his independence, and help him enjoy new experiences.
During day shifts, you will support his daily routines, clinical needs, and social activities, helping him to remain comfortable, engaged, and happy. Night shifts will involve ensuring his comfort and safety, responding to his needs, and supporting him to have a calm and restful night's sleep.
This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of a young man, providing compassionate, person-centred care and helping him live as independently and happily as possible.
Please note: Due to the nature of our vacancies, our clients have the right to request either female or male staff.
Our clients family has requested female staff to join their team.
