Are you looking to expand your skills and enhance your career to include providing Complex Clinical Care or do you already have Complex Care experience?

Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking an experienced team of Healthcare Assistants to support a teenage girl with her complex care needs.

We are looking for dedicated and reliable individuals that are passionate about their job, who are friendly, bubbly and enjoy delivering one to one support.

Our service user is teenage girl who lives with her family in Wakefield and particularly enjoys spending time with her sister.

Her hobbies and interests are learning about the latest celebrities, watching documentaries on Netflix and Disney films.

She also loves listening to an array of different music such as the Beatles, Queen and Rag n Bone Man, as well as frequently using her eye gaze device to access media platforms such as YouTube.

She can make her needs known verbally and will often request either her Mum or her care team to speak to Alexa and request her music.

We require someone who can build positive relationships and ensure the continuity of her care as this is an essential requirement for this service user and her family.

Our ideal applicant will be flexible, committed and have a genuine interest and passion in providing exceptional care and support.

An occupational requirement for this position is that her care team will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencing work with her

Essential Experience Required

  • 3 months previous care experience
  • Medication Administration
  • Personal Care
  • Moving and Handling

Desirable Experience

  • Tracheostomy Care
  • Gastrostomy Care (PEG Feeding)
  • Cough Assist
  • Suctioning
  • Ventilation management
  • Spinal Injury Awareness
  • Autonomic Dysreflexia Awareness

We have the following shifts available;

  • Full time and Part Time
  • Days - 8am - 8pm
  • Nights - 8pm - 8am
