Job description

Are you looking to expand your skills and enhance your career to include providing Complex Clinical Care or do you already have Complex Care experience?

Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to support a young lady with complex care needs.

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.

Our service user is in her early 30's and lives with her Mum in Burnley.

She is a big fan of her local football team, Burnley FC, and likes attending football matches when she can.

She enjoys taking part in activities with her carers such as arts and crafts, playing board games and computer games. She also likes watching her favourite soaps and keeping up to date with all the latest celebrity gossip!

Socialising is important to her and she loves meeting up with her friends as often as she can, usually this is at the local bingo hall where they get every week.

You will support her to access community-based activities and therefore, it is essential that you are a driver and comfortable driving an adapted van.

We require a like-minded individual to join her team who has experience in managing challenging behaviour and can use positive reinforcement techniques. It would be great if you have similar interests!

We provide an extensive training programme for all her clinical needs which is led by our highly skilled Registered Nurses. They will ensure that the programme is conducted at your own pace whilst fully supporting and guiding you throughout the process.

Please note, you must be available to attend training during the day.

Essential Experience Required

  • 3 months previous care experience
  • Medication Administration
  • Personal Care
  • Moving and Handling

Desirable Experience
