Job description

Would you like to progress your career by working with children who require complex clinical care?

Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to support a young boy with his complex care needs.

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.

Our service user is a is a happy little boy who lives with his family in Durham.

He takes enjoyment from all things and particularly enjoys sensory play and interacting with his siblings.

You will be providing care throughout the day and night, ensuring his personal and clinical needs are met.

Our ideal applicant will have a genuine interest in working with children and able to commit to our service users care on a long term, ongoing basis.

It would be advantageous if you are skilled in complex clinical care however, this is not essential.

This is a great opportunity to apply your valuable skills from your gained experience to progress into a Childrens Support Worker.

Essential Experience Required

  • 3 months previous care experience
  • Medication Administration
  • Personal Care
  • Moving and Handling

Desirable Experience

  • Tracheostomy Care
  • Gastrostomy Care (Peg Feeding)
  • Seizure Management

We have the following shifts available;

  • Part Time Days - (Supporting at nursery)
  • Part Time Nights - 9pm - 9am

This is a personally rewarding role where you can build on your clinical skills and experience, whilst you will be delivering exceptional care and support to our service user and their family.
